Creating Colorful Content Kids Love (and Parents Trust)

Creating content that clicked for both kids and parents on Target.com.

PERFORMANCE MEDIA
THE OBJECTIVE

Balancing kid fun with parent trust

The mission was simple: make the experience of FAO’s fashion and beauty kits feel fun, giftable, and completely age-appropriate. The challenge was tone: we needed to create something bright and expressive enough for middle-schoolers, but grounded enough that parents would see quality and care. Every frame had to walk that line: playful, but never chaotic; colorful, but always intentional.

THE SOLUTION

Playful production, genuine moments

We leaned into color, motion, and personality – designing short, fast-paced videos and lifestyle photography that put creativity front and center. Our camera stayed close to real moments: a brush sweep, a spark of laughter, the joy of trying something new.

The visuals were light and bright, but there was discipline behind every shot. Composition, pacing, and lighting all supported a sense of safety and familiarity – fun that felt genuine and family-friendly. Each asset was tailored for Target’s PDP specs and built to drive conversion through clarity and connection.

THE RESULTS

Content that clicked with both kids and parents
